STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - A manufacturing facility has announced the layoff of 55 employees at its Stillwater plant.

Total Energy specializes in new and refurbished storage tanks, towers and vessels. According to the Stillwater NewsPress (https://bit.ly/1qydjEx ), the company laid off the workers, many of whom are skilled welders, on Tuesday.

Stillwater Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Lisa Navrkal said that state and local officials are preparing assistance information for the affected workers.



Total Energy had employed about 100 people throughout the United States in the heavy haul transportation, field services and power piping to the energy and agribusiness industries.
